Who Wants A Recording Deal?

Do you wish to cut through the hype, the illusions around a career as a contemporary recording artist?

Then this article is for you...

There are two realities simultaneously at play in today's musical world.

One is the model of record deals and big companies which comes from the past and in my view is quickly dying.

Most people are still chasing it because they don't understand the new paradigm.

There is, however a new model that is replacing the old that I'm really excited about as a recording artist.

A Brand NEW World Of Unlimited Possibility For Every Singer Who Chooses It

The old model says you have to walk and talk and look a certain way because you need to fit into a one-size-fits all world.

This is the old world model of the record contract with a big company that will 'make you a star'.

And only one out of every million or so Singers/Artists who are talented and skilled enough could land a contract.

And only one in every hundred thousand or so who landed a record deal actually 'made it' through the intense competition with all the other artists.

It was mainly about how marketable you were. And how much you touched your listeners, how unique you were only had a little to do with it.

How would you like to live in a musical world like this?

What I'm telling you today is that you don't have to.

This old world of the 'music business 'is dying ( and in my opinion is already dead ).

There will always be a very few big companies who create a very few 'stars' each year.

But 90% of the albums bought and money rewarded will not be created or distributed by these big companies.

They will be created by Singers/Artists like YOU.

Artists who dig deep into their heart and soul to define and develop their craft...

Who create a genuine, heart-felt sound and product...

Who aren't waiting for someone else to hand success to them...

Who are willing to do what it takes to develop their craft, their writing, their voice their message...

Who are willing to do what they need to do to find out how to make a career out of their Singing and/or writing...

There is a HUGE world beyond Itunes and MySpace

...if you take the time to discover it

And if you do...it can free you

You can create your very own 'record deal'

You can create musical albums each year and find people who want it

YOU can be a professional artist and make a living at it
